A cryptocurrency wallet address is the unique identifier that you send and receive cryptocurrencies at. The address usually consists of alphanumeric characters.

Each cryptocurrency address is unique. A cryptocurrency wallet may have more than one address tied to it. To access a cryptocurrency wallet with its addresses you often need a private key.

This public address is unique and it’s directly tied to the type of cryptocurrency that you want to send or receive. For example you can only send and receive Bitcoins to a Bitcoin address, same goes for Ethereum and other cryptocurrencies.
