Litecoin was launched in 2011 by Charlie Lee, a former Google and Coinbase employee. Litecoin had a few differences to Bitcoin, such as shorter block generation time but overall it was and is a very similar cryptocurrency to Bitcoin.

Litecoin has been around for a long time and it has always been a popular coin, but perhaps not one with its own clear path always. But still, interest remains high for a coin that seems to always pick up new speed and rally to higher prices.

This is shown by its current ranking of number 6 in terms of market cap – learn more at Coinmarketcap.

In this article, I will do our best to help Litecoin owners and investors to find out more about where they can store their coins, in the best Litecoin wallets.

I will look into what are some of the 11 best Litecoin hardware wallets, online web wallets, mobile wallets and paper wallets for storing safely your coins.

How to select the best Litecoin wallet for safe storage

As an owner of Litecoin myself this guide to help crypto owners find a good and reliable wallet for storing our coins is essential.

And similar to as when I did my research to find the best Ethereum wallets I need something to go on when doing my Litecoin research.

I am therefore using these key aspects when researching and evaluating wallets for Litecoin:

  1. How easy to use the wallet is
  2. How safe and secure the wallet is for protecting my LTC
  3. How compatible is the wallet with different devices, operating systems, etc
  4. How strong is the team working on the wallet
  5. Can I store my Litecoin and other coins in this wallet also

So when doing my research I kept these requirements in mind when looking into the different wallet options for Litecoin.

Obviously there are additional requirements of importance. But I feel these cover a fairly good range of important factors for selecting a crypto wallet.

Here below are some of our favourite cryptocurrency exchanges to help you buy Litecoin easily:

  1. Coinbase – easy to use site and app, with lots of payment options for both buying and selling cryptos
  2. Binance – one of the most popular crypto exchanges, has plenty of coins and is very secure
  3. KuCoin – an exchange with a great UI, lots of exciting features such as staking cryptos and plenty of coins

Ok it is time to explore the 11 best Litecoin wallet for 2020.
